For the 1st summer Lunda Community Park Basketball Court in BRF will be the host of Jordan Kappen’s Full Court 21 Tournament. ![]() Thanks again to all the high school players that helped at camps, Tiger Youth Basketball Association for sponsoring, support of the custodians, Lunda Community Center, Lunda Community Park, Blair-Taylor Basketball, Pine City Basketball, all of the parents that helped promnote and spread the word about all of the camps, trainings, and the tournament.Ī new basketball tournament coming to BRF featuring multiple defenders guarding whichever player has the ball. *All pictures will be posted on the website! Enjoy and thanks *Look for future posts about camps and trainings I spoke to them about the concept of playing college and pro basketball or sports. I offered advice to become a better shooter, ball handler, defender, and teammate. I taught every skill needed to make their team whether it is a traveling squad or the varsity. I did my best to teach life long lessons. We worked on much more than being a skilled baller. They really worked hard and made it easy on me as their coach for the summer. Just wanted to say thanks again to the kids. NBA community and will be able to take advantage of the many opportunities available to the players. It means my players will be a member of the Jr. It means I will have access to NBA level coaching education which in turn will improve the camps and individual/group lessons I host. NBA sponsored events exclusively for my players. It means I may have the opportunity to provide JR. NBA has a set of standards that I am bound to uphold. It means that I am going to be able to provide you services at a higher level…because the Jr. NBA partnership network is comprised of youth basketball programs of all NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League teams as well as elementary and middle schools, military installations and longstanding community partners, including Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Jewish Community Centers of North America, National Association of Police Athletic Leagues, National Recreation and Park Association, National Wheelchair Basketball Association, Special Olympics, and YMCA of the USA. NBA is the official youth basketball participation program of the NBA that teaches the fundamental skills as well as the core values of the game at the grassroots level in an effort to help grow and improve the youth basketball experience for players, coaches and parents. NBA grow the game of basketball in the communities I work with. It’s an amazing opportunity for the camps and trainings but most of all my players, and I look forward to helping the Jr. NBA has taken an active role in becoming involved with different youth programs around the country, and I am fortunate enough to be one of those programs. I am proud to announce that Jordan Kappen Basketball has partnered with the Jr. Your praise goes a long way in supporting my efforts! Thank you for the emails and comments with regard to compliments of the various events. I saw many improve in a small amount of time and I hope they want more! They were very long days in the gym but I hope the players enjoyed it. The classes I worked with are filled with great athletes and supportive parents. They really responded to my expectations and camp was an indication that the appreciation of basketball can really be built up in the community. Of course I shared my basketball experiences as well. I wanted to provide a chance for the players to get to know the high school players in the area that were helping. I mentioned at the closing of the camps that the group of kids were put through long weeks and yet they remained competitive and enthusiastic and finished strong. The high school players and myself had a great time working with your kids on skills. Thanks again to all the families for bringing your kids to camp and basketball lessons this summer. I got to see many familiar faces, and some good ones! There were 4 camps, an entertaining outdoor tournament, 20 kids in 1-on-1 and group lessons, over 250 players total on these hot mornings and afternoons in the gym. While some were at the beach, others were at BBQ’s, the players and I were in the gym.
